The swamps and wetlands around Wallan provide important habitat for flora and fauna.

Gardens can be designed to attract wildlife. Including plants that provide food and shelter encourages wildlife to visit and make the garden their home. Access to water is another important feature that can be added via a pond, a bird bath or a dish.
