Bushland Walk & Talk

Learn about our local fauna and flora. Remnant bushland is home to sugar gliders, brush-tailed phascogales, dunnarts, echidnas and more. Woodland birds feed and nest amongst the trees. Many wildflowers grow there, including special orchids.
The number of participants is limited, so please register.

Making a more liveable Wallan by linking people with nature
Wallan is a fast-growing town approximately 45km north of central Melbourne.
Wallan Environment Group strives to protect and enhance the natural environment through education, action, and community engagement.
We acknowledge the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung as the traditional owners of this area and pay our respects to Elders past, present, and emerging.
Aims
- preserve, enhance and restore the flora and fauna along Wallan’s waterways
- improve Wallan’s amenity values by developing a network of linked parks and open spaces
- encourage active community participation in the group’s activities
- increase public awareness, participation and ownership of the natural environment
- serve as an advocate for the natural environment and open space areas of Wallan
